I was sorry to hear that the literary world lost such an important voice and also one of your favorite writers. Sadly, I didn’t know anything about him which just goes to show you how far out of touch I have been with everything the past 20 years. It saddened me that I never read him before when I should have because I read some of his contemporaries like Pynchon and Delillo. At the same time, it made me feel sad that I have missed out on so much and that I am out of touch with so much. I know, I am the one who goes around preaching that I have no regrets and that everything happens for a reason, but it’s been really wearing me down and weighing heavily on my soul. I guess I am mourning the fact that I should have done more–whether it was reading Mr. Wallace or writing more when I was younger. I am sorry for the loss of this writer, I am sorry that you lost one of your favorite writers, and also I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to you and your mom. Take care my dear friend.

Thank you for letting me know you were here.
