After All These Years

Your
Silence
should not
haunt
me so

After all these years
I should lie
back
in its familiarity
like the waters of a
scalding bath

I do not
I can not

Instead
I
wander
the cavernous halls
of your silence
curling in upon myself
like a wounded
                        spider

When
         We
dies
When
         We
can no longer
sustain
           Itself
on scant and
fetid crumbs,

Its
    corpse,
Its scarred and
battered
             corpse,
will lie pierced
through
with the
            Words
I have hurled,

floating bloated and
abandoned
in the bottomless
bog
of your
           Silence
